Our Story

Born from Frustration

amibeingscammed was created by someone who has spent over two decades in technology, with more than 15 years dedicated specifically to security.

Since 2001, I’ve worked at both large, global technology companies and small, specialized organizations — even protecting nation-state communications. My journey in security began in 2009, and since then I’ve made it my mission to fight fraud and protect people wherever I go.

Along the way, I earned CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional) certifications — but what really drives me isn’t the letters after my name. It’s the frustration I’ve felt watching good people fall victim to scams that could have been prevented if only they had someone to turn to.

We saw a gap: not everyone has the expertise to spot a scam — whether it’s obvious or sophisticated — and not everyone has someone they can call when they’re unsure.

We built this platform to close that gap. Because everyone deserves to feel safe online. Because no one should lose their hard-earned money, or their dignity, to a bad actor taking advantage of a vulnerable moment. Because you deserve to have someone on your side who understands both the technology and the human cost.

I’m here to help — with expertise, vigilance, and care.

Our Mission

We believe that everyone deserves to feel safe online — no exceptions. Our mission is to make world-class cybersecurity expertise accessible and affordable, so no one has to face threats alone.

Through our AI-powered platform, we empower people with the same vigilance and knowledge that professionals use every day — delivered to anyone, anywhere, at a fraction of the cost.

If we can save even one person from losing their life savings, from being tricked, or from feeling helpless — that is success. We measure our success not in numbers, but in lives protected, dignity preserved, and confidence restored.

Why We Do This

Because everyone deserves protection. Because knowledge shouldn't be a luxury. Because one person saved from a scam is worth everything.

Why the Cat?

You may have noticed the cat in our logo — and it’s no accident. The cat symbolizes everything we stand for: watchfulness, discernment, and quiet strength. Cats are natural guardians, known for their ability to sense danger before anyone else. They’re curious but cautious, observant yet graceful — never rushing, never fooled.

Much like a cat, we keep a vigilant eye on the subtle signs of scams, spotting the smallest details others might miss. And because I happen to love cats myself, it also reminds us that security doesn’t have to feel cold or mechanical — it can feel alive, caring, and even a little personal.

We’re here to help you navigate the online world with the same confidence and calm of a cat: aware, protected, and always one step ahead. Also, I just really like cats!
