Tech support scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with scammers using various tactics to trick victims into believing they're legitimate technical support representatives.

Warning Signs

  • **Unsolicited calls** claiming to be from Microsoft, Apple, or other tech companies
  • **Urgent language** about viruses or security threats
  • **Requests for remote access** to your computer
  • **Demands for payment** to fix non-existent problems
  • **Threats** about legal action or account suspension

  • How to Protect Yourself

  • **Never answer calls** from unknown numbers claiming to be tech support
  • 2. **Don't give remote access** to your computer to strangers

    3. **Verify the caller** by contacting the company directly

    4. **Use legitimate security software** to protect your devices

    5. **Report suspicious calls** to relevant authorities

Remember: Legitimate tech companies will never call you out of the blue about computer problems.
